HP launches The Linux Powered Mini Note Micro Notebook
The number of companies coming out with tiny affordable notebook PC’s is on the increase every day, thanks to the huge success of the Asus Eee, we have an every increasing choice of small affordable notebooks.
The latest company on the bandwagon is HP with the Mini Note micro notebook.
VIA processor and graphics are what would kill it for me. Its just completely underpowered, even compared to the Asus Eee. In the coming months the Eee will debut the “900″ model, which will have a larger screen of 8.9 inches, 8-20gb SSDs, and eventually a better processor and graphics chip (Intel Diamondville Atom, or POSSIBLY ULV Core2 Penryn). There’s even a hint in the interview with the exec in charge of the Eee that there will be “radical changes” in chassis design, including one with an “Asian” flare. I’m personally hoping for that bamboo engineering sample notebook to finally come to fruition. That’s the kind of thing I’m waiting for.
